Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 29) — Kalei Mau is taking her talents to another level as she's set to compete in the Athletes Unlimited in the United States.

The outside hitter said she's looking forward to showcase what Filipino volleyball players are capable of doing in the highly competitive league.

"I'm really excited to play and represent the Philippines," the national team spiker told CNN Philippines' Sports Desk Monday.

The Athletes Unlimited is the first professional women's volleyball league in the US, gathering some of the best players in the world.

"It's the second season of the first professional women's volleyball league in the US. A bunch of the players are national team members from other countries. It's going to be very high level," Mau said.

The second Athletes Unlimited season will run from February 27 to April 28 next year.

Mau is coming off an unbeaten title run with the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the PNVF Champions League. The Cargo Movers did not drop a single set in the tournament even if they didn't play together for almost two years.
